Russian investigators: Belarus lost $90 million due to BPC case
Russian investigations have confirmed that Belarusian companies suffered losses due to the activity of ex-fficials of the Belarusian Potash Company.
Representative of the Belarusian Investigation Committee Syarhei Varabyou announced it, BELTA reports. The Russian Investigation Committee recognized that the Belarusian Potash Company and Belaruskali were the aggrieved party in the criminal case started against Uralkali ex-CEO Vladislav Baumgertner and other officials. The losses suffered by Belarus totalled over $90 million.
The Russian Investigation Committee started the case on the basis of the case papers presented by the Belarusian police, Syarhei Varabyou added. Russian investigators independently came to the same conclusions about the damage done, he said.
