Salihorsk inhabitant applies for urgent anti-war meeting
Uladzimir Shyla applied for the meeting on March 3 and would like to conduct it on March 4.
The Russian Army’s actions in Ukrainian Crimea made him apply for an anti-war meeting.
He asked to conduct the meeting as soon as possible and not to wait for 15 days, Ivan Shyla told Euroradio. He even agreed to the idea of asking the authorities to organize the meeting.
Uladzimir Shyla: "I wrote about a fire burning nearby. It will burn us, Belarusians, too. The fire will not distinguish between the opposition and the government. We must speak about it today. I suggested that they conducted the meeting themselves but it needs to be done as soon as possible because every hour counts now.”
Uladzimir Shyla left his phone number in the appeal but officials did not phone him back. If they do not allow the meeting, it will not be held because no one will come, the activist said.
