Ukraine: Russian diversionist with explosives detained in Donetsk
The special operation was conducted in Donetsk on the night of March 11.
The Ukrainian special services detained a Russian citizen who had come to Ukraine to create diversion groups, Ukraine's Security Service (SBU) chief Velentin Nalivaichenko said at a briefing in Kiev.
The detained, 47, was born in Crimea but lives in Moscow and is a Russian citizen. SBU had been shadowing him for 15 days. There is evidence that the diversionist was controlled by Russian special services (their identity is being revealed at the moment) who had set the goal of creating groupings in order to destabilize the situation in Donetsk and Lugansk Oblasts. He had explosives and detonators on him. A criminal case has been started.
The detention of a Russian spy in Ukraine was reported earlier.
