Tell the Truth applies for registration
Civil campaign Tell the Truth on November 16 filed paperwork with the Ministry of Justice seeking registration as a national public organization, reports BelaPAN quoting the press office of the campaign.
It will a forth attempt by Tell the Truth to register after three unsuccessful missions in 2010, 2011 and 2013. The campaign's leaders reckon the previous refusals were legally unjustified and politically motivated.
The application will be reviewed within one month. The Ministry of Justice will then decide whether to approve or refuse registration.
Tell the Truth held its founding congress on November 7 in Minsk where organization's dual leadership was approved. Ex-presidential candidate Tatsiana Karatkevich occupies the representative post of the chairperson of the organization. Andrei Dzmitryeu became the chairman of the National Council of the Association. In this position, he will deal with organization and legal aspects of the organization's operation.
The organization aims to promote the achievements of Belarus in the social and economic fields, to analyze social and economic problems and propose solutions. Among other goals of the organizations are promotion of the rule of law, social justice and equality, and patriotism in the country.
