Ukraine-bound fuel cistern derailed in Belarus
A cistern, carrying diesel fuel from Lithuania to Ukraine, is derailed in Belarus.
The cistern, carrying diesel fuel from Lithuania to Ukraine, derailed near the village of Zarachanskaya in Maladzechna district. No injuries were reported. 12 trains were delayed for six hours as a result.
According to the press office of Emergencies Ministry, the cistern contained 57 tons of diesel fuel. The standard procedures also required chemical and radiation safety experts to inspect the scene. The train was eventually towed to the repairs station.
The cause of the accident is yet to be determined and announced.
