Underage football fan convicted for hooliganism in Zhytkavichy
A 17-year-old football fan has been sentenced to 18 months of imprisonment with a 12-months stay of execution in Zhytkavichy. He will have to do public works for 60 hours. The sentence was pronounced on January 28 and has not come into force yet, BelaPAN reports quoting to the press office of Homiel Regional Court.
The young football fan came to Zhytkavichy from Kalinkavichy with friends to support FC Vertical that had to play against the local club UA-Bud-Zhytkavichy. Kalinkavichy fans started fighting their opponents after the match. Zhytkavichy fans fled and left one of their friends alone. The suspect demanded that the young man refused from his anti-fascist views and beat him, the investigators say.
The violence was filmed and uploaded to social networks. The detained was an adherent of fascism, the police announced. They drew attention to the fact that the suspect was wearing a Pahonya T-shirt in the video.
The suspect will have to pay the compensation of Br6 million to the victim. The compensation will be paid by his mother because the teenager does not have the money.
