Football: Yahor Filipenka officially joins Malaga
The Belarus international joins Spanish La Liga side Malaga till the end of the 2016/2017 season.
Fullback of Belarus national team and ex-BATE player Yahor Filipenka has joined Malaga, the website of the Spanish club reports. His contact will expire at the end of the season in 2017. Filipenka will be introduced to the club at 3 p.m. Minsk Time on January 7. The fullback has already trained with the club according to his individual programme. Filipenka is expected to take part in the Malaga-Villarreal match at the Spanish championship on January 10.
Yahor Filipenka’s name has caused confusion in Malaga – the Belarusian is called Igor and Egor on the club’s official website. We are hoping that it will not affect his football career in the new club.
