13 districts suffer from storm in Brest Region
13 districts suffered from storm whose gusts reached 20 metres per second on the night of January 27 in Brest Region.
According to the head of the regional department of the Emergency Control Ministry Sayrhei Mashnou, 92 built-up areas experienced a black-out, including 25 – in Kobryn District, 14 – in Malaryta District and 12 – in Baranavichy District.
Two houses were damaged: one of them is in Pruzhany District and the other one is in Brest. Moreover, roofing slates of 14 farm buildings were blown off and 2.4 kilometers of power line was damaged.
The regional department of the Emergency Control Ministry did not receive any information about victims. The power line was repaired during a week.
