14:42 Police detains suspected of shooting a Gypsy family
The police detained people suspected of killing a Gypsy family from Zhlobin. The information and public relations department of the Belarusian Ministry of Internal Affairs informed about it.
The tragedy happened on the night of March 9 when criminals shoot the Buryanskis (a married couple).
A special police troop was recalled on alert and an investigative group was created out of the most experienced policemen and representatives of the office of the public prosecutor.
Three local inhabitants were suspected of having committed the crime. One of them was a 24-year-old man who had previously served sentences for hooliganism, burglary and robbery. He pled guilty.
Participation of the other suspects was not confirmed and they were released.
The preliminary version of the crime is that it was committed because of “personal antagonism between the suspect and the murdered family”.
The Zhlobin District Office of Public Prosecutor has started a criminal case. The suspect has been taken to Homel confinement cell.
