15:46 Skrabets and Fralou not allowed to celebrate in capital centre
Minsk State Executive Committee has not allowed Syarhey Skrabets and Valery Fralou to hold an action dedicated to the Day of Unity of Russia and Belarus in the centre of the capital.
The politicians had been planning to gather people at Kastrychnitskaya Square and organize a manifestation that would walk till Horky Park. A festive concert was to take place there.
The officials explained their refusal by the fact that is was forbidden to organize mass actions near metro stations and pedestrian subways. Minsk City Executive committee proposed them to follow another route – to gather people at Kulman station and hold the meeting at Bangalor Square.
The organizers are going to drop the idea of a manifestation but are still going to hold a meeting.
