306th flood in the city’s history starts in Saint Petersburg

The 306th flood from the day Saint Petersburg was founded started there on Sunday. The water-level in the Neva has become 164 cm higher than in Kronshtad tide-gauge and it is still rising. The Ministry of Emergency Control is not dramatizing the situation; rescuers say that only some quays and neighbouring territories will be flooded.
