5 fans detained for Pahonya scarves to stand trial in Barysau today
5 fans detained in the Belarusian fan sector of Barysau Arena during the match Belarus-Macedonia will stand trial in Barysau on Tuesday. They were arrested on the evening of October 12 – during the first period of the match. At first only 2 (and then 4) fans were reported to have been detained. However, Barysau District Department of the Interior detained 5 people, belultras.by informs. Reports about disobedience to the police were drawn up against them. The young people are facing an administrative arrest now.
The fans were detained for wearing Pahonya scarves, Euroradio reported earlier. Well-known opposition activist Zmitser Hvedaruk was among them. The other fans in the sector left the stands to express their protest.
