5 million cubic meters of forest logged in 2008

Belarus's Forestry Ministry has reported that 4.9 million cubic meters of forest, or 1.3 times more than planned was logged in 2008. The forestries would sell timber as firewood both to individuals and organizations. The demand for wood was met fully, reports the official news agency Belta.
