87 applicants to take part in Belarus Eurovision selection tour
The national selection tour will begin at 12 p.m. on November 28. Maks Lorents and Nuteki will perform for the jury today.
The press service of the Belarusian Broadcasting Company, the contest organizer, told Euroradio about it.
Press service: “There are over 85 [applications. – Euroradio]. The number 87 was mentioned in the morning but it was not final. There may be more.” Evidently, our musicians have not lost interest in Eurovision. 83 applicants were allowed to take part in the selection tour last year. There are even a bit more this year. The most interesting contenders, Maks Lorents, Nuteki, Natallya Tamela and Ivan Buslai, will perform on November 29.
However, some of them may not make it on time. Some of the musicians that were supposed to perform today were informed about their participation in the selection tour yesterday evening, Euroradio found out.
The Eurovision selection tour will be held on November 28 and 29. The jury will chose 15 finalists who will compete for a trip to Copenhagen. The jury consists of different people, the Belarusian Broadcasting Company stressed. As usual, national artists Vasil Rainchyk and Alyaksandr Tsihanovich are among them. Belarus’ Eurovision-2013 representative Alyona Lanskaya is among the new jury members.
The final will be organized in January. It will be a TV concert where the jury and viewers will chose the winner.
