About 700 international observers to monitor Belarus' parliamentary election
Lidziya
Yarmoshyna, chairwoman of the central election commission, said during an
online session that 700 international observers will come to Belarus to
monitor this fall's parliamentary election, BelTA reported.
The central
election commission has invited observation missions from the Organization for
Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) and the Commonwealth of Independent
States (CIS). The OSCE is expected to send 350 monitors, including 50 members
of a long-term observation mission. The CIS is to deploy around the same number
of observers.
