Aleh Benesh: Son acquitted, returned to his military unit
Minsk Military Court has pronounced the sentence to soldier Akim Benesh today.
Young soldier Akim Benesh protested against hazing in the army – his offender was left with a black eye and Akim found himself on the remand. His father, Aleh Benesh, has commented on the details for Euroradio.
Akim Benesh told Euroradio after the trial:
"All the charges have been lifted. Nobody had any objections. Everything is okay.”
Everyone has left for their military unites after the trial. Akim Benesh has also left for his unit in Machulishchy. He is going to apply for a transfer and a 10-day absence. The soldier will be demobilized on May 15-20.
