Alyaksandr Lukashenka says that Belarusian government is “democratic”
Alyaksandr Lukashenka took part in the final common meeting of the Council of the Republic and the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the third convocation on Thursday. The leader of the state noted that all branches of the Belarusian government had managed to consolidate “the society’s sane forces” and to get better of “the most complicated problems and new global challenges of the present”.
Lukashenka stressed that the administration of the country had managed to preserve the political stability of the society despite of the obstacles set by “destructive forces” that had “foreign support”. The leader of the state thinks that the government conducting reforms without violence has the right to be called democratic.
Lukashenka also drew attention to “the necessity of fighting corruption”. Meanwhile, he noted that “world corruption is one of the reasons for the current financial crisis”.
Lukashenka also claimed that “the harsh interference of the state in the regulation of financial issues had ended”. Now Belarusians and foreigners can expect confidentiality of their deposits and the access of the police to the information will be restricted.
