Application for picket against political repressions sent in Brest
The initiators of the action are Marat Nestsyarenka, a member of the city UCP affiliate, and Alyaksandr Dzenisenka, an activist of the city affiliate
of the Belarusian Party of the Left “Fair World”.
Brest democratic activists have applied for a picket against political repressions appointed for March 25.
Dzenisenka who was a member of Nyaklyayeu’s election team at the election-2010 has informed BelaPAN that the aim of the picket is to demand to stop the repressions directed against participants of the action that took place in Minsk on December 19 and to release political prisoners. The number of participants of the picket is up to 30 people.
"The place of the picket mentioned in the application is the “Locomotive” stadium. This is the only place in our city where the local authorities allow such events so we are hoping that the picket will be allowed”, - noted Dzenisenka.
