Are anarchists detained in Minsk?

According to non-official information, the law-enforcement authorities have detained about 10 anarchists and searched their apartments. This is probably connected with the recent arson of the car near the Russian Embassy in Minsk. As it became known to the European Radio for Belarus from anonymous sources, there had been a wave of searches in the apartments of anarchists in Minsk and other cities. About 10 people have been detained. Their parents are trying to find out about their children's destiny.

The press-center of Minsk police informed to the European Radio for Belarus they knew nothing about the above-mentioned events.

Let us remind you, that on September 2 an unknown Russian anarchist group "Friend of Freedom" claimed responsibility for the arson of the car near the Russian Embassy in Minsk on August 30. They stated they had conducted this action in solidarity with defenders of Himki forest in Moscow.

However, as it was stated by the Moscow activist Jaraslau Marozau in the interview to the European Radio for Belarus, the attack on the Embassy was not directly connected with defenders of Himki forest. To his opinion, this was the way Belarusian anarchists supported their friends.
