Barouski stands trial for money-losing deal with “Triple”
A former head of “Belnaftahim” Alyaksandr Barouski is accused of having promoted a money-losing deal and refusing a good business, reports BelTA.
The accusation announced by the Public Prosecutor of the Supreme Court Syarhei Tselyazhevich says that the director general of “Naftan” reached an agreement with a Russian company TNK according to which they had to buy 80 tons of crude oil for 330 dollars for one ton.
A protocol of negotiations was signed on the same day. Alyaksandr Barouski ordered the head of “Naftan” to refuse the deal with TNK in favour of “Triple” ltd. because he had friendly relations with its administration “out of personal interest and to create semblance of the concern’s success” – is said in the prosecutor’s announcement. The former head of “Belnaftahim” has not pled guilty.
