BCD activist Kastus Zhukouski beaten by unknown guards
The coordinator of the steering committee for creating the party "Belarusian Christian Democracy" in Homel Kastus Zhukouski got to hospital. Yesterday he was detained by the police at the ethnic and cultural festival "Call of Palesse" in the village Liaskavichy. According to Zhukouski, he was beaten by the guards of the Prime-Minister, informs Radio Liberty. Kastus Zhukouski said he was first detained by the police for the alleged "untidy appearance", then they claimed his passport was a forged document, and he looked like a notorious criminal. After that Zhukouski was released, but attacked by the guards, who stroke him down to the ground and twisted his arms, soon afterwards.
