BCD complains to Supreme Court about Ministry of Justice
"Belarusian Christian Democracy" party is to claim refusal in registration in the Supreme Court. The Co-Chairman of the steering committee for creating the BCD Aliaksej Shein informed Euroradio about this. The politicians are convinced that the Ministry of Justice has conducted violations, refusing to register the BCD:
Shein: "We claim the Ministry of Justice's decision on non-registration of the BCD. First, we disagree with this decision. Secondly, the Ministry of Justice violated the term set by legislation for issuance of its own decision on registration or non-registration of the party. We submitted documents to the Ministry on September 17 and 19. We received the response of non-registration on October 25. However, according to the Law, we should have received it no later than October 16".
However, Shein does not see any political system changes in Belarus, not connected with the upcoming election, so he does not have much optimism with regard to registration of the BCD.
