Belarus elections: CEC says record turnout at 41.7% after early voting

The Central Election Commission (CEC) of Belarus has announced a record-breaking turnout during the early voting phase at 41.7%! During the 2015 presidential elections, turnout reached 36.05%. During the 2019 parliamentary elections, it was 35.77%.
In 2020, the highest turnout was in the Homiel region at 54.44%, the lowest 38.40% in the Brest region, in Minsk - 33.40%.
Independent observers say the turnout has been exaggerated several-fold.
The main Election Day is today, August 9.
