Belarus gets deprived of another Olympics-2008 medal
The International Olympic Committee has deprived Nadzeya Astapchuk of her bronze medal won at Beijing Olympics in 2008. The second examination has revealed turinabol and tamoxifen in her tests, BelaPAN reports.
Astapchuk was deprived of her London-2012 gold medal due to the presence of the anabolic steroid metenolone in her tests.
Besides Astapchuk, the IOC has annulled the results shown by Belarusian hammer-thrower Darya Pchelnik: she was fourth in Beijing in 2008. Turinabol has been found in her tests.
Beijing Olympcis-2008 was the most successful for Belarus: our country won 19 medals there (4, 5, 10). The number has reduced to 13 now (3, 4, 6).
