Belarus government approves living wage
The government of Belarus has approved the minimum living wage per capita. It will amount to an average of Br170,500 ($85) within the period of thenext three months. The living wage for the labor-age population has been set at almost Br189,000; for pensioners -- almost Br151,000; for students -- Br180,000.
The living wage index is used to provide social security to the poor and to justify the state-sponsored social and labor guarantees for the population, reports BELTA.
