Belarus plans to send 200 athletes to Olympics

Belarus athletes can still win 40-60 licenses more for the Olympic Games in Beijing, Belarus Sports and Tourism Minister Aliaksandr Hryharau told reporters. Belarus has already secured 140 licenses in 15 sports, he said.

The government wants to increase the number of Olympic licenses up to 18-200 in order to have Belarus perform in 20-23 sports, reports the official news agency Belta.
