Belarus speaker defends new media law
Vadzim Papou, the Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus, sees it necessary to solve the issues associated with the legal regulation of the mass media that are distributed via the internet. "Today, every country is trying to find the best solution for this problem", the speaker of the lower chamber of the Belarusian parliament said during a press conference in Minsk.
Papou believes that it is necessary to try to protect internet users from the information that runs against moral standards.
Talking about the passed media law, Papou said that "everyone can't be satisfied with the law, but it is important that the majority is happy with the law", reports Interfax
