Belarus, Turkey eye $1bn trade target by year end
Belarus and Turkey intend to raise the bilateral trade to $1 billion by the end of the year. The plans were discussed as Chairman of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus Mikhail Myasnikovich met with Turkish Prime Minister Binali Yildirim in Ankara on 9 July, the state news agency BELTA reports.
Binali Yildirim mentioned the development of trade relations and the possibility of raising Belarus-Turkey trade up to $1 billion by the end of the year. He also mentioned good conditions for Turkish investments in Belarus. He also remarked that Turkey looks forward to the visit of the Belarusian head of state in early 2019.
Mikhail Myasnikovich who heads the upper chamber of the Belarusian parliament leads the Belarusian delegation in Turkey to participate in the inauguration of Turkey President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
