Belarusian language becomes "fashionable"
The Minister of Education advisor on contacts with media and public relations Victar Iuchankau has declared such an opinion.
He has stated today at the journalism faculty of BSU, where they celebrated the International Mother Language Day, that the Belarusian language has become more functional and popular, than in Soviet times. "Moreover, the Belarusian language has become fashionable among the young people, they study it voluntarily", - Iuchankau has said.
The Minister's advisor has set the 80s as an example - according to him, if a person spoke Belarusian then, everyone looked at him in astonishment.
