Belarusian Railways accused of discriminating against Lithuania
Edminas Bagdonas, the Lithuanian ambassador to Belarus, accused the Belarusian Railways (BR) of setting discriminatory rates for shipments bound for the Port of Klaipeda. Bagdonas said that the BR charges 40 percent higher rates for shipments bound for the Port of Klaipeda compared to those bound for the Port of Ventspils, Interfax reported.
The ambassador noted that Belarusian cargoes account for 20 percent of the port operations.
