A Belarusian girl who arrived in the USA according to a student exchange programme has been raped and robbed. Virginia police are looking for the criminal.
According to a representative of the criminal police department of Virginia-Beach, the incident occurred on Monday night when the Belarusian was returning from work. The student worked in a resort motel.
An Afro-American approached her in a deserted street, threatened her with a gun, demanded to give him money and then raped the girl, reports “Radio Liberty”.
The police are searching for the stranger and have urged organizations responsible for hiring foreign students to work in summer to inform young people about safety regulations at night.
