Belarusian women make 62.5% less money than men in IT

The maximal gap between men’s and women’s wages has been registered in the IT sphere in Belarus. Women get paid 62.5% less than men in IT sphere. It means that women get 1285 roubles less than men! 36.7% of IT sphere employees are women.
The minimal difference is observed in the sphere of car selling and repairs: women get only 0.9% less than men there.
Interestingly, 81.2% of people working in the Belarsuain education are women. Nevertheless, women’s wages are 16% lower than men’s wages there.
