Belarusians tried to sell 19th century icons in Saint Petersburg
The police have detained two Belarusians from Vitsebsk in Saint Petersburg. The men gave an advertisement in a newspaper and tried to sell several 19th century icons. Policemen found 4 ancient icons in the flat of the detained. The men wanted only 5 thousand dollars for the icon of Kazan Mother of God.
The detained refute the fact that the relics were stolen. According to them, they got the sacred objects legally, informs a Russian TV channel “100 TV”.
