Borisovdrev reconstruction, criminal case started
Alyaksandr Lukashenka ordered to do it during his last visit to the enterprise.
He noticed that the enterprise had failed to fulfill the modernization plans and the territory was filled with rubbish. Lukashenka fired head of Minsk Province Executive Committee Barys Batura and ordered to start criminal cases “in connection with the revealed violations”. Minsk Province Department of the Interior did it.
A criminal case has been started against former director-general of Building Trust #21 Mikalai Busalau and director of Institute Barysauproject Alyaksandr Misiyuk, Yezhednevnik reports. They are accused of power and authority abuse. Busalau and Misiyuk are facing 10 years of imprisonment and confiscation of property.
The investigators are not embarrassed at the absence of a legal basis for the charges: the officials “deliberately performed actions that did damage to the national interests during the modernization at Borisovdrev in January-November 2013.” However, no real actions or proof of suspects’ ego involvement were mentioned. The basis for the charges is supposed to be found during the investigation.
Busalau and Misiyuk are not allowed to go abroad. Alyaksandr Lukashenka demanded it. The state leader is going to hold a meeting dedicated to the situation in woodworking soon.
