Opening date of the new national football stadium in Minsk announced

Sports Minister of Belarus Siarhey Kavalchuk said that the new football stadium, the construction of which is almost completed by Chinese contractors, will be officially opened by the celebration of May 9, 2025.
The construction of the National Stadium in Minsk began in the summer of 2020. China allocated $240 million for the project, which was later increased to $292 million. In addition to the stadium, the money was used to build an international-class swimming pool in the capital.
The 33,000-seat arena is located next to the legendary "Tractor" stadium on Vaneyeva Street. According to Belarusian officials, the stadium meets all FIFA and UEFA requirements.
