YouTube blocked in Belarus on New Year's Eve

Problems with YouTube began in Belarus on New Year's Eve. Users are complaining that the platform either doesn't work or works intermittently.

The problem seems to be the temporary blocking of YouTube by the Belarusian authorities. The authorities did the same thing last New Year's Eve.

The problems with access to the platform began closer to midnight - the time of Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya's address to the nation.

Against the backdrop of the complete blocking of YouTube in Russia, many wondered whether the same could happen in Belarus. So far, however, officials say that there are no grounds for imposing restrictions on YouTube.
