Britain’s EU referendum question formulated

The British authorities have formulated the question that will be discussed at the referendum about UK’s membership in the European Union. The question will be asked this way: “Should the United Kingdom remain a member of the European Union?”.

This question will let EU adherents conduct their agitation campaign in a more positive way compared to their opponents. The former will vote pro and the latter – contra. Scottish authorities formulated the question about Scotland’s independence the way that those who wanted to leave the UK had to answer yes while those who wanted to stay - no. Scottish nationalists accused their opponents of attempts to threaten the population with economic consequences of sovereignty back then.

UK PM David Cameron promised to conduct an EU membership referendum at the end of 2017. However, he is an EU adherent, TASS reports.
