China to invest over $1.2 bn into Belarus' foodstuffs industry

Chinese business circles plan to invest over $1.2 billion into the foodstuffs production in Belarus, Agriculture Minister Leanid Zayats said. He noted that China is interested in the products made in Belarus and can be trusted. Another Chinese company is ready to invest $200 million into the construction of a dairy production business in Viciebsk region. The products are reportedly to end up in China.
The Belarusian minister also noted that the Chinese negotiators came forward willing to invest in Belarus, reports the presidential administration's newspaper SB Belarus Today.
