Chinese massively buying Estonian domains
The Chinese are buying up large amounts of Estonian domains. Their attention was attracted by lower prices. As a result, the Chinese citizens have bought about 15% of domains in the ".ee" zone (14 thousand of the nearly 103 thousand), Postimees reports.
It is noted that the Chinese are more likely to buy domains for resale or "blindly". They even bought domains like 1271.ee, 1272.ee; 4v.ee, 4f.ee, 4h.ee and 4i.ee.
The ".ee" domains can be registered for 1, 2 or 3 years. For this you need to pay, respectively, 9, 17 and 24 euros. This is significantly lower than it was in the last year.
