Donets Basin election to be discussed in Minsk today
The election in Donets Basin will be discussed in Minsk today, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said. The contact group on Ukraine will meet in the Belarusian capital on September 22. Its subgroups will also gather. They will discuss the constitutional reform, fulfillment of Minsk agreements, withdrawal of heavy artillery and local elections in Donets Basin, RIA Novosti reports. The self-declared ‘DPR’ has appointed the election for October 18 and ‘LPR’ – for November 1, censor.net.ua reports.
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has urged to expand Russia sanctions in connection with the attempt to conduct ‘pseudo-elections’ contradicting Minsk agreements in Donets Basin.
