Dvorkovich explains when Belarus will pay gas debt
The problem of the Belarusian debt for Russian natural gas will be solved within two weeks, rueconomics.ru quotes Russian vice PM Arkadi Dvorkovich. The negotiations are still in process but a number of agreements have already been reached, the official added.
The price formula will not change for Belarus, he noted. The price will still be 132 dollars for one thousand cubic metres of gas.
The agreement on gas supplies to Belarus will be signed in November, mass media quoted Russian Minister of Energy Alexander Novak earlier.
Official Minsk paid 80 dollars instead of 132 for Russian gas because the Belarusian authorities thought that it was fair. As a result, Russia announced that Minsk was in debt. The debt has already reached 340 million dollars.
