Dynamo Minsk thrash Zenit St Petersburg in Europa League qualifier
On 9 August Dynamo Minsk hosted Zenit St Petersburg in the Europa League third qualifying round. Over 2000 St Petersburg fans marched towards the stadium with smoke and flares, abusing the hosting team and shouting anti-police slogans.
Obviously, they hoped for a comfortable win but Dynamo Minsk thrashed the guests 4-0.
The return leg will be played on 16 August in an empty Petrovsky Stadium in St Petersburg. The Russian side has been punished by the UEFA for its fans' racist behavior, and also for blocking stairways in the Europa League round of Last 16 against Leipzig in the 2017/18 season.
