Festive manifestation participant dies in central Homel
Resuscitation ambulance failed to reach female sports veteran in Homel due to jam by festive columns.
The festive V-Day manifestation in Homel was overshadowed by tragedyon May 9, Radio Liberty reports. Sports veteran Volha Z. felt bad and lost conscience. The column started encircling her. People called an ambulance. Instead of providing ‘a corridor’ for medics, the police decided to carry the woman towards the nearest emergency hospital in Lange Street.
The medics failed to help the unconscious woman and called a resuscitation ambulance. But it got delayed at intersections due to crowds of manifestants. When the ambulance reached the spot, they could not save the veteran.
