Belarus lowers foreign currency purchase fee to 10%
The fee on the purchase of foreign currency is down to 10 percent effective from January 6, 2015.
On January 5, the stock transactions fee for the purchase of foreign currency in Belarus decreased from 20% to 10%. The decision is part of the Council of Ministers' resolution adopted on Sunday.
The National Bank reported that on January 6, the fee for the currency purchase by the population is reduced to 10%. Currently, the fee is 20% (from 20 to 30 December - 30%). The National Bank notes that the situation on the currency market of Belarus "remains stable".
It should be noted that at the January 5 currency trading, the dollar rose by 840 rubles at once.
