Foreign mass media pay attention to repressions against journalists in Belarus
Polish “Gazeta Wyborcha” has made the Belarusian events the editorial of its daily Internet version.
Wyborcha explains the today’s attack against independent journalists and civil organizations by “Lukashenka’s response to US economic sanctions” referring to a commentary of Ales Byalyatski, the head of a human rights defending centre “Vyasna”. Wyborcha reminds that the US Ambassador was withdrawn from Minsk after Washington had imposed sanctions on “Belhaftahim” and that the US Embassy stopped giving out visas to Belarusians in its turn.

Mahileu human rights defenders inform that KGB had surrounded the building of the “Circle of Friends” civil initiatives.
