A museum of the local famous compatriots will be opened this year in the building of a former printing house in Navahrudak.
The printing house has not been in operation for five years. But it has become the property of the museum just recently. It will showcase the materials devoted to the city's famous son Boris Kit. Before the WWII, he was a renowned professor at the Belarusian Gymnasium in Vilnius. After the war, he became a famous scientist in the United States. He passed over a lot of personal things and pictures to Navahrudak. The museum will also display the materials associated artist Halina Rusak (Rodzka), born in the village of Veraskava in the Navahrudak district. After the war, she also lived in the United States, reports ERB correspondent Syarhey Apanovich.
