Freelance journalist Kastus Zhukouski fined Br16.8 mln
Judge Valyantsina Saponava considered two administrative cases started against Homel freelance journalist Kanstantsin Zhukouski in Zhlobin's District Court on February 24.
The journalist was accused of illegal information production. Zhukouski was not accredited as a reporter of a foreign mass media and was making video reports for the TV channel Belsat, Zhlobin police noted.
The judge returned the freelancer guilty and fined him for 16.8 million (80 base amounts) for both cases, BelaPAN reports.
The freelancer pled not guilty and claimed that he did not work for Belsat.
By the way, Zhukouski has already stood trials for illegal information production before. He has already been fined for about 70 million roubles.
