Gas blast near Homel school, one child injured
A manhole cover has hit an 11-year-old schoolboy.
Something exploded near Homel school #41 on the afternoon of December 27. Two schoolboys bought petards and decided to blow them up on the school territory. They found a manhole there and threw a petard into it. It exploded instantly. The manhole cover hit an 11-year-old boy. He was taken to hospital with severe burns and head traumas.
Unknown gas exploded there, the ECM press service reports. A gas-distribution substation is situated 7 or 8 metres away from the manhole. The incident is being investigated.
