Gazprom demands Belarus debt payment
Russia's Gazprom
natural gas giant has demanded that Belarus pay a $230-million debt for gas
delivered from January to April, Andrei Kuznetsov, an economic adviser at the
Russian embassy in Minsk, told Interfax. In a letter to
Beltranshaz, Gazprom also pointed out that the company should fully pay May's
bill before June 23.
