Head physician ordered to hide blast traces in Hrodna
KGB and the Investigation Committee have started two criminal cases against the man.
The actions of the ex-chief physician from Hrodna Province were qualified as power and authority abuse. Air-gas mixture exploded in a preoperational room last year, investigators said. Two workers were severely injured and died later.
The chief physician ordered his employees to hide the explosion traces. As a result, part of the evidence was deliberately destroyed. Furthermore, the victims were not taken to emergency hospital quickly enough.
The investigators received information about another law violation committed by the suspect, BELTA reports. Hospital employees are being interrogated and confiscated documents are being studied now.
